All bars and restaurants CLOSED again
From October 15, 2020, all bars and restaurants are again obliged to keep their doors closed. This is one of the new measures with which the cabinet hopes to halt the rapid growth in the number of corona infections.
Update:
Because the number of corona infections is decreasing too slowly, a strict lockdown has been in place since December 15, 2020, which will remain in effect until April 20, 2021. It is expected that bars and restaurants will have to stay closed even longer.

Clubs and discos had been closed since the first lockdown in the spring of 2020 and will probably not open again until most of the population has been vaccinated.
Updated: September 30, 2020
In an attempt to curb the rapid rise in the number of corona infections, the government has determined that from September 29, 2020, bars and restaurants have to close their doors at 22.00 hrs and no new visitors may be admitted after 21.00 hrs.
Also, the following rules apply:
- Reservations must be made for both indoor and outdoor seats - this can be done in advance or at the door. There are also some health questions that have to be answered.
- All visitors will be asked for their name and contact details, so that the public health service can inform people quickly if there happens to be an infection.
Information about how to make a reservation at the gay places in Reguliersdwarsstraat can be found at Reguliers.net.
Closed until further notice are gay sauna Nieuwezijds (NZ), leather bar Eagle at Warmoesstraat, Café 't Mandje at Zeedijk and dragshow bar De Lellebel at Utrechtsestraat. For them it's not doable to enforce the current COVID-19 regulations.
All clubs and discos will also to stay closed until further notice - therefore it's not possible to dance, unfortunately. De Trut however is open as a night café.
